Children

For families, mediation can be a lifeline.

At mediationplus we encounter all sorts of issues around conflict within the family. From parents being concerned about how their children feel about a break-up and how it affects their behaviour to an ex-partner being denied child access. By providing impartial help to all parties, these sensitive issues can be discussed and resolved without putting children under undue pressure to “take sides” and to avoid court appearances.

Honest and frank discussion is key. Mediation offers a safe and impartial arena for all parties, including the children, to allow their voices to be heard. With trained and qualified mediators present, thorny issues surrounding new partners, lack of monetary support and access can all be honestly and openly discussed. By actively acknowledging problems, looking at how they have arisen and different ways they can be resolved, means an amicable agreement can be reached that is acceptable to both parties.
